Wow, what a week !!!

So firstly, Do Life came to the UK (31st March 2012). Such a great experience to meet Ben Davis and his family, having watched his video on you tube just after I’d started running.

The guys were really nice people to meet and just normal everyday guys that had simply got running and kept going, probably the hardest thing to do when you’re not the smallest size. Great to meet other people who’d also picked up with the Do Life movement.
A good 5k run around the Serpentine and some food afterwards.
Then on Monday, the new trainers arrived !!

Later on that week at the Wednesday CG Run Club, I got to wear the hallowed red vest of the Run Club pacer. I played back marker on the 10k route. Was also the first run in my New Free Run’s !! Enjoyable and wouldn’t mind doing again.

Finally, my week ended on a serious high note. We’d been teased on Facebook for some time about the 5th April being “Super Natural”. Now being in the knowledge that this was the official release date for the new Free’s, I’d assumed it was something to do with that.

Well it turned out to be something a bit more than your average trainer release.
Firstly, we met at CG run club having applied by email the week before.
On the monday of that week, there’d been some marketing posts on Facebook advising that Paula Radcliff and Dai Greene would be taking part, with either NTL or CG stores. We were all very excited at run club that week and speculating as to who we’d get.
Turned out that we got Dai Greene, who is a cool guy, but also a bonus of Steve Cram, running ledge.
The run was a 5k, starting from CG, down to Waterloo, round Westminster & St James’, then onto Picadilly Circus and up to Niketown at Oxford Circus. A good run and a chance to get a run in my new Free’s.
Afterwards was a Q&A session at Niketown with all three athletes, along with some food & drinks.
Then afterwards was the opportunity for photos !! (Results you can see below).
Also met some of the guys from @RunDemCrew West #BIGUP !! Top boys, having a good laugh. Gonna have to get myself over to Maida Vale soon to go for a run.
I was also lucky enough to get my bag signed by Paula Radcliffe (Thanks again Paula).

Has to be said, truely one of the best running experiences I’ve had so far.
See y’all soon
